Overview
Fetches detailed data for individual X/Twitter posts (including long tweets, quoted tweets, and X Articles) without login or official API keys, via a zero-dependency Python script that calls the FxTwitter public API.
Key Advantages
1.No authentication or API keys required; works entirely via public FxTwitter proxy API.
2.Zero external Python dependencies (stdlib only), simplifying installation, deployment, and sandbox use.
3.Supports long tweets (Twitter Blue), quoted tweets, and X Articles with full reconstructed article text and metadata.
4.Provides structured JSON output with rich tweet stats (likes, retweets, bookmarks, views, reply count, timestamps, and author info).
5.Usable both as a CLI tool and as a Python module for direct integration into agents or pipelines.
Use Cases
- Agents or tools that need to read the full text of a single X/Twitter post given its URL, including long tweets and articles.
- Content analysis or summarization pipelines that take a tweet or X Article URL and then perform NLP processing on the returned text.
- Research or OSINT-style workflows where occasional, ad-hoc inspection of public tweets or articles is needed without maintaining API credentials.
- Developer utilities that enrich user-submitted X URLs with metadata (author, stats, timestamps) for dashboards or logs.
- Backup or note-taking agents that save the content of an X post or article when a user shares a link.

**Quick judgment:** A focused, lightweight skill that reliably fetches *single* X/Twitter posts (including long tweets and X Articles) via FxTwitter with zero external dependencies. Very convenient for agents that just need "give me the full content for this URL", but it is tightly coupled to a third-party proxy service and cannot fetch threads.
**What it’s good for:**
- Turning a tweet or X Article URL into rich, structured JSON (full text + stats) with minimal setup.
- Agents that perform summarization, classification, or extraction on individual tweets/articles.
- Environments where dependency-free Python and no-API-key operation are important.
**Key limitations & risks:**
- **Single-post only:** No reply thread content; `--replies` is a stub that returns an explanatory error.
- **Third-party dependency:** Entirely dependent on `api.fxtwitter.com`. If FxTwitter changes, rate-limits, or goes down, the skill fails with no built-in fallback.
- **Platform/ToS risk:** Uses an unofficial proxy to X/Twitter content; long-term stability and policy compliance are uncertain.
- **Content scope:** Cannot access deleted or private tweets; only works for publicly available posts.
**Recommended scenarios:**
- Low-to-moderate volume agents that occasionally need to ingest individual public tweets or X Articles by URL.
- Tools where simplicity, zero configuration, and no OAuth/API-key management outweigh the risk of external dependency.
- Not recommended as the sole foundation for mission-critical or high-volume ingestion of X/Twitter data, due to reliance on FxTwitter and lack of thread support.
